Sardegna Vera presents 14 candidates in Porto Torres, Sardinia

In sardinia, the Sardegna Vera list was presented in Porto Torres about twenty days before the June 7 and 8 elections, putting 14 candidates before voters in the conference room of the Porto Torres Port Museum. Sara Dettori, the mayoral candidate linked to the coalition, said the turnout showed the city was demanding change.

Dettori told those gathered, "Tonight's extraordinary public response demonstrates that Porto Torres is demanding change—a change that is genuine, proud, and rooted in the values of our land," and added, "With the 'Sardegna Vera' list and the entire Polo Identitario coalition, we are deploying expertise, passion, and a concrete program to restore our city to its rightful leading role in the landscape of northern Sardinia."

The list belongs to the Sardinian Identity Center coalition, which also brings together Sardegna al Centro 2020 and the Sardinian Action Party. Former Prime Minister Carlo Cossu opened the proceedings as coordinator of the group, while Michele Bassu reviewed the work accomplished and acknowledged battles already fought for the community.

Marco Ballisai, Giada Solinas, Antonio Giordo, Francesca Cugurullo, and Mosè Braghin outlined program priorities during the evening. The themes they named were social policies, trade, youth policies, and cultural policies.

The 14-candidate slate includes current and former administrators, professionals, and young talents. Along with Marco Ballisai and the others who spoke, the list names Sara Paola Chen, Alessandra Leoni, Pietro Appicela, Giuliana Pitzanti, Nadia Fattacciu, Chiara Loi, and Daniele Zirulia.

Dettori said the coalition wants to place citizens at the center of political debate and protect local identity. The presentation was the public launch of a local electoral list, and the campaign now moves into the final stretch before voters in Porto Torres choose on June 7 and 8.
