Embark Adds 1.29.0 Arc Raiders Update, Denuvo Starts May 19
The arc raiders update in Patch Notes 1.29.0 brings new trades to Speranza, a new launcher, and durability changes, while Denuvo Anti-Cheat begins on May 19th. Ermal has set up camp in Speranza, and Raiders who have reached Level 25 can start bartering high-value ARC materials and rare weapons for weekly rotating offers.
Ermal in Speranza
Ermal, a Nomadic Envoy in Speranza, offers a single Stash expansion and 5 expedition vault spaces during the first week. After that, his stock will rotate in and out, which means the opening week is the only window for that exact bundle.
The Nomadic Envoys are described as a nomadic tribe that had long avoided traveling below ground before arriving in Speranza. That change gives Level 25 players a new way to trade, but only for the items Ermal brings in each week.
Tian Wen and the Rascal
Tian Wen created the Rascal, a new launcher for tackling armored ARC threats. The weapon is described as lightweight, compact, and easy to carry, but it reloads more slowly and is a bit unpredictable on aim.
The durability changes in the last patch were felt too much on some weapons, so this update increases the lifetime of the worst-offending weapons that break too quickly. Players who noticed gear wearing out faster than expected should see that pressure eased on the items affected most.
May 19th rollout
Denuvo Anti-Cheat will come to ARC Raiders starting May 19th, and Embark says it will be limited to a small player pool at first. Embark plans to expand it after close monitoring and says it is working to ensure minimal impact on performance.
The rollout comes alongside Anybrain already in the game, plus the requirement for an internet connection, an Embark ID user account age 13 or older, a third-party platform account, and acceptance of the Embark Terms of Service and End User License Agreement to play. For players, the immediate question is whether their account setup is ready before the anti-cheat rollout reaches them.
