Callum Bradley Admits Scratchcard Robbery in Coatbridge
Callum Bradley admitted robbing a shopkeeper of three lottery scratchcards at USave in Coatbridge, after police raced to Woodside Street and detained him near the shop. The 26-year-old later admitted acting in a threatening or abusive manner towards officers after his arrest. The case was heard at Airdrie Sheriff Court.

Flora McCamley said the incident happened on August 30 last year when Bradley entered the shop around 4pm apparently under the influence of alcohol. She told the court that Bradley asked Zubair Akhtar to phone him a taxi, but the shopkeeper refused.
Bradley stayed in the shop while another customer was being served, McCamley said. When that customer left, he approached the till area and attempted to take scratchcards from a stand.

Akhtar tried to stop him, and a struggle followed before Bradley left with three scratchcards. Police then found Bradley in Woodside Street, close to the shop, after racing to the scene.
McCamley said Bradley became aggressive after being detained, shouting threats including, “I'm going to kick your head in” and “You're getting knocked out in the cell.”
Simon Gilmour, defending, said Bradley had acted “foolishly while intoxicated.” The court heard the admissions, but the source provided no outcome beyond them.
