Mara Isaacs Drives Hadestown Uk Tour to Leicester in 2027

Hadestown Uk Tour will open at Curve in Leicester on 19 February 2027, giving the West End production its first run across the United Kingdom and Ireland. The move takes Anaïs Mitchell’s musical beyond London while it continues its run at the Lyric Theatre.

Leicester Leads the Run

The first date is the clearest marker in the plan: 19 February 2027 at Curve. For ticket buyers outside London, that is the point where the show stops being a West End-only event and becomes a touring production reaching venues across the country.

Mara Isaacs said, “We are thrilled to bring Hadestown to audiences across the UK and Ireland.” She added, “This is a show that has moved and captivated audiences in London and around the world – and for good reason.”

A Tour Beyond London

Additional dates, including a spell in Dublin, are to be revealed. That leaves the current announcement with one fixed opening and one wider promise: the production will leave London for the first time in the UK and Ireland, but the full route has not yet been mapped out publicly.

Anaïs Mitchell said, “I’m thrilled that Hadestown will be touring across the UK and Ireland!” She also said, “Our West End casts have taught us that these songs sound right at home in every lilt and brogue… we are thrilled to bring this story and music to folks all over and see what new resonances will be found.”

Eight Tony Awards Since 2019

Hadestown won eight Tony Awards in 2019, including Best Musical, before later winning two WhatsOnStage Awards after its run at the National Theatre and subsequent West End transfer. That record gives the tour a production with proven commercial and awards traction, not a title being tested for the first time.

The company has not announced casting details for the touring production yet, so the practical next step for audiences is to watch for the route, the Dublin dates, and the touring company lineup. For now, the production is still anchored in London while its first UK and Ireland expansion is set in motion.
