Scottish Rugby Releases 2026-27 Scotland Fixtures Across All Competitions
Scottish Rugby has released the scotland fixtures for the 2026-2027 domestic season across adult, youth and school competitions. The schedule covers the Arnold Clark Men’s and Women’s Premierships, league rugby below them, and the main school-age and open competitions that will shape the year ahead.
The announcement also sets the first hard dates. The Arnold Clark Men’s Premiership starts on Saturday 29 August, with all five matches kicking off at 3pm, while the women’s top flight keeps the same format as last season and the men’s league leaders will move straight into The Scottish Cup quarter-finals after league play ends.
Ayr RFC and Edinburgh Accies open the men’s league
Ayr RFC begin the defence of their title at home to Watsonian FC, giving the champions an opening-day test on their own ground. Edinburgh Accies return to the top flight with a trip to Kelso RFC, while GHA RFC host Melrose and Currie Chieftains travel to play Glasgow Hawks RFC.
Heriot’s Rugby start at home against Hawick RFC to complete the five-match opening round. That opening day gives the men’s competition an immediate split between title defence, promotion return and early away pressure, all on the same 3pm start.
Stirling County RFC face Cartha Queens Park RFC
Stirling County RFC open the Arnold Clark Women’s Premiership away to Cartha Queens Park RFC, with the league again following the same structure as last season. Every team plays each other once before the split, after which the top four and bottom four move into separate groups.
The upper section then decides the title, with the top two teams meeting in the Arnold Clark Women’s Premiership Final to determine the 2026-2027 champions. The women’s schedule sits alongside the new Women’s National League, which now joins the released domestic calendar.
Scottish Rugby adds youth and open rugby
The release also covers National Leagues 1, 2, 3 and 4, Regional Leagues 1, 2 and 3, and all Reserve Leagues. On the youth side, the inspiresport Boys’ competitions from U13 through to U18 are included, along with refreshed Girls’ U16 and U18 competitions and the Open Competition.
The Open Competition now includes 12 environments after an expansion announced in April following this year’s pilot, and the Boy’s U16 and U18 Open Competition begins on Saturday 29 August. Later in the season, the Inter District Championship will sit in a dedicated November window, and a Scotland Club XV home fixture against Ireland is planned during the Guinness Men’s Six Nations period.
