OPP Says Tarun Bali Opp Officer Died After Hearst Investigation
The OPP said tarun bali opp Const. Tarun Bali, a Dufferin Detachment member, died after being seriously injured during an investigation near Hearst on June 9. He was on deployment with the James Bay Detachment and had two and a half years of service.
Police said the injury happened at about 12:30 p.m. at Kendall Concession Road 7 and Concession Road 6. The OPP Criminal Investigation Branch is leading the investigation into the circumstances surrounding his death, with the Office of the Chief Coroner and the Ontario Forensic Pathology Service also involved.

OPP members were conducting the investigation when Bali was seriously injured. He was later pronounced deceased.
The OPP said one individual is in custody. Police also said anyone with information about the incident is urged to contact the OPP or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-888-310-1122.
