Arsenal Move on Tzolis as Romano Flags Monga Deal — Fabrizio Romano Arsenal Transfer News

fabrizio romano arsenal transfer news: Arsenal have made an initial approach for Christos Tzolis, with contacts started on the player and club side. Jeremy Monga remains a separate deal for the future and is advancing, a sign Arsenal are working multiple attacking moves at once.

Romano on Tzolis and Monga

Fabrizio Romano said Arsenal’s move for Tzolis is an initial approach for the Club Brugge winger, and he added that Monga is not tied to the same track. Romano also said Rogers, Barcola and more remain top targets, which keeps the picture broad rather than settled.

That matters because Arsenal are not treating this as a one-player chase. The early contact for Tzolis sits alongside a separate push for Monga, while the club continues to scan the market for other forward options.

Yildiz and Arsenal Spending

Kenan Yildiz sits at the top end of the spending talk. Arsenal are ready to spend around £86m to sign the Juventus star this summer, and Sacha Tavolieri has described him as Arsenal’s dream target.

David Ornstein said at the start of this month that Arsenal could exceed last summer’s spending in this window, after the club spent a further £250m on signings last summer. He also said Arsenal want a number nine, a left-sided attacker, a six/eight midfielder and a right-back.

Ornstein later said a move for Tzolis could be possible for around €40million, and that such a deal would not affect Arsenal’s interest in Morgan Rogers or another alternative target. That leaves the club with several live attacking paths, not a single line of pursuit.

Arteta’s Forward Plan

Mikel Arteta’s side now has a clear shopping list: a winger in Tzolis, a separate future deal in Monga, and larger interest around Yildiz, Rogers and Barcola. The next step is not a headline-grabbing finish but whether one of those tracks turns into a bid strong enough to move the market.
