Is it Father's Day today? Not yet, but Dallas-Fort Worth already has 10 Father’s Day weekend events lined up for June 20 and June 21, 2026. The schedule gives families a set of paid and free options across Dallas, Fort Worth, Grapevine and Grand Prairie, with event websites the place to check for weather-related changes.
June 20 in Dallas-Fort Worth
Father’s Day Weekend at the Dallas Farmers Market runs June 20 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and is free. The day includes live music by Caden Crawford, Matthew Banks, Derek Skelton and Jade Nickol, plus activities for children and grilling demos and samples with MD Supper Club.
That same day, the Father’s Day Weekend Train Excursions at Grapevine Vintage Railroad run from 12:40 p.m. to 7:10 p.m. along the Historic Cotton Belt Route to the Historic Stockyards Station. Tickets for the excursion range from $24 to $38 per person, and each father receives a special gift and special craft brews.
Later on June 20, the Father’s Day Cookout at the Fort Worth Zoo is set for 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Bluebonnet Cafe in Texas Wild! at the Fort Worth Zoo. Tickets are free for children 2 and under, $40 for children ages 3 to 12 and $95 for guests 13 and up.
June 21 at Lake Grapevine
On June 21, the Father’s Day Boat Ride at Lake Grapevine’s Silver Lake Marina runs from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. and again from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Each two-hour trip includes a barbecue buffet, a DJ, face painting during the kids’ cruise and a comedy on the adults-only cruise. Tickets are $55.20.
Also on June 21, The Ultimate Dad Challenge! Father’s Day Event takes place from 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. at Amped Obstacles in Grand Prairie. Families will compete in ninja-style obstacle courses, agility games and teamwork challenges, with prizes, doughnuts and coffee part of the lineup.
The mix of free entry, fixed-price tickets and family activities makes the weekend easier to sort by budget and age group. Because weather-related schedule changes and other updates are possible, the practical move is to check each event website before heading out, especially for the outdoor pieces tied to Dallas, Fort Worth, Grapevine and Lake Grapevine.
