MUSC Health expands Emily pharmacy calls as Soundhound Stock rises

MUSC Health expanded use of SoundHound AI's Emily voice agent across retail and specialty pharmacy phone lines as SoundHound stock rose 6.89% in one day. The move added a healthcare workflow to the company’s voice AI push and came as the shares also posted a 4.49% gain over seven days.

Analysts following SoundHound AI estimated fair value at $13.14, above a recent close of $6.52. That gap leaves room for a larger re-rating if the rollout and other deployments keep building, but the stock still trades at a 15.3x P/S multiple versus peers at about 4.4x and a 3.1x fair ratio benchmark.

MUSC Health and SoundHound AI

The expanded use of Emily is one of the first agentic voice deployments for an Epic system. In practical terms, that means the phone workflow is being handled by voice AI inside a system tied to hospital operations rather than treated as a side tool.

For SoundHound AI, the MUSC Health rollout gives investors a concrete customer reference in healthcare, which is the kind of enterprise evidence the market tends to reward when it is looking for more than a product demo. The company also still runs sizeable losses and relies on large, sometimes uneven enterprise deals, so the stock story remains tied to execution as much as adoption.

SoundHound AI price move

The latest move sits inside a wider stretch of mixed performance. SoundHound AI was down 30.42% over 90 days and 41.63% over one year, even after a three-year period in which total shareholder return was up more than 3x.

That split gives the MUSC Health expansion immediate market relevance. A healthcare deployment can support the valuation case, but the stock still needs repeatable customer wins and steadier revenue quality before the premium multiple starts to look routine.

Healthcare AI stocks and valuation

The comparison set also matters. With 41 healthcare AI stocks in view, SoundHound AI’s 15.3x P/S stands well above the 4.4x peer average and the 3.1x fair ratio used in the source estimate.

That makes the next step simple for investors: the equity is being priced for growth that has to show up in real deployments, not just in headlines. The MUSC Health expansion helps that case, but the market will need more than one healthcare phone-line rollout to close the gap between $6.52 and $13.14.
