Dodge announced the 2027 Dodge Charger Super Bee Launch Edition with 600 horsepower and 531 pound-feet of torque. The new model adds one day of performance driving instruction at Radford Racing School for buyers of the Charger Super Bee.
Dodge Charger Super Bee Launch Edition
The Super Bee uses larger twin 56-mm Garrett turbochargers and is available in two-door and four-door body styles. Dodge says the Launch Edition is the most track-focused Super Bee yet, and it is also the quickest gas-powered Charger currently available.
Andy Kalmowitz, Jalopnik's resident Big Mopar Guy, said he likes driving the latest revival of Dodge's iconic Charger, and this version gives that revival a sharper performance message. Dodge says the purchase includes one day of performance driving instruction at Radford Racing School, which puts the track piece directly into the ownership package.
Track mode and Race Prep
The Launch Edition comes with Sucker Punch, Shady, and Diamond Black, plus Super Bee stinger graphics, gloss black 20-inch wheels, and Hyper Lime brake calipers. It also adds a one-third-longer extended front splitter, a larger rear spoiler, a new Super Bee instrument panel badge, a leather-wrapped steering wheel with a dedicated rear-wheel-drive button, and larger paddle shifters for the eight-speed automatic transmission.
Inside, the seats are cloth-covered, high-backed, and aggressively bolstered, with Citrus Peel inserts, silver and Sour Lemon stitching, and a Super Bee logo embroidered on the headrests. Dodge also added Track mode with unique steering, traction control, and stability control calibrations, Race Prep that keeps the electric cooling fan running after shutdown on hot track days, and Drag mode that lets the car squat more under acceleration.
Scat Pack and Charger Daytona Scat Pack
The Super Bee has 50 more horsepower than the Scat Pack and reaches 60 mph 0.3 seconds quicker, at 3.6 seconds, with a quarter-mile run of 11.8 seconds. Car and Driver recorded a 3.6-second 0-to-60 mph time in the 797-horsepower Challenger Hellcat Redeye in 2019, while the electric Dodge Charger Daytona Scat Pack is listed at 670 horses and a 3.3-second sprint to 60 mph.
That leaves the 2027 Dodge Charger Super Bee in a specific spot: quicker than the gas-powered Charger lineup Dodge is selling now, but still trailing the electric Charger Daytona Scat Pack on straight-line numbers. Dodge has not said how much the Charger Super Bee Launch Edition will cost, and buyers are left with a model name, a performance claim, and a track school day before the price sheet arrives.
