Julie Coker on Broadway Week value

“After an unforgettable summer that brought the world to New York City, Broadway takes center stage this fall,” Coker said in announcing the sale. She added, “Since launching in 2011, NYC Broadway Week has generated more than $200 million in revenue while making it easier for New Yorkers and visitors to experience the magic of Broadway at a value.”

The program has been running since winter 2011 and has cumulatively sold more than 3 million tickets while generating over $222.2 million in revenue for Broadway. New York City Tourism + Conventions runs the promotion with The Broadway League, and this fall’s lineup includes The Lost Boys, Oh, Mary!, The Outsiders, Hadestown, Just in Time, & Juliet, Aladdin, The Book of Mormon, Buena Vista Social Club, Chicago, The Great Gatsby, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, The Lion King, Maybe Happy Ending, MJ the Musical, Operation Mincemeat, Paranormal Activity, The Rocky Horror Show, Schmigadoon!, School Girls; Or, The African Mean Girls Play, Six, Stranger Things: The First Shadow, Titaníque, Two Strangers (Carry a Cake Across New York), and Wicked.

New participants in 2026

Seven titles are marked as new participants: Just in Time, The Lost Boys, Paranormal Activity, The Rocky Horror Show, Schmigadoon!, School Girls; Or, The African Mean Girls Play, and Titaníque. That mix gives the promotion a sharper sales hook than a simple repeat package, because it adds first-time entries alongside established titles that usually drive the traffic.

Broadway Week also lets buyers filter participating shows by Genre, Tony Award Winners, Accessibility, Last Chance, New Participants, and Type. That search structure makes the sale more usable than a flat discount list, especially for readers trying to sort by availability rather than by show title alone.

Partners and purchase terms

Jason Laks said, “NYC Broadway Week is about opening the door for more people to experience the remarkable range of productions on Broadway.” He added, “We’re proud to continue our partnership with New York City Tourism + Conventions to help audiences discover the excitement of live theatre.”

Promotional partners include Amtrak, Telecharge, and Audience Rewards, and upgraded tickets are available at time of purchase for select shows. The catch is built into the offer: some tickets are only subject to availability and blackout dates may apply, so the best seats will move first and the discount will not extend evenly across every performance.

For buyers, the practical move is simple: shop the participating list now, use the filters if you want a narrower target, and treat the upgrade options as part of the purchase rather than a later add-on. The strongest value sits with the shows that still have inventory when the sale window opens, and that is exactly where Broadway Week tends to sort winners from the rest.
