Beth Eames has reached the final of Great British Sewing Bee 2026 after 10 weeks of challenges. The 24-year-old from Oxfordshire now joins Anna and Emma Morwood in the last round, with the deciding episode set for One at 8pm on Tuesday, September 15.

Oxford to the final
Eames studied engineering at St Hilda's College, Oxford, completed a DPhil in Mechanical Engineering, and recently began working as a mechanical engineering consultant in the health technology sector. That background sits far from the sewing room, which is part of the point: the final has been built around contestants who can move across pattern, transformation and made-to-measure tasks without losing precision.
She first discovered a love of sewing as a teenager, and she has spoken previously about adapting clothes to suit her needs while living with scoliosis. That gives her place in the final a practical edge as well as a personal one; this is a contestant who has used sewing as a tool, not just a hobby.
Two Garment of the Week awards
Two Garment of the Week awards put Eames in a stronger position than a simple finalist label suggests. She also impressed Patrick Grant and Esme Young throughout the series, including in the semi-final, where her green plant-based leather biker jacket drew praise for the quality of her topstitching and sleeve insertion.
The pattern is clear. Across 10 weeks, Eames has combined technical control with judged consistency, which is why her name survived into the final while the field narrowed to Anna and Emma Morwood.
