Law Roach joins Asos as first stylist in residence

Law Roach has joined ASOS as its first stylist in residence, giving the retailer a named creative lead for campaigns, editorial work and styling content. The appointment, announced on Saturday, sits inside Asos’s strategy called The Stylist and is meant to push more guidance to shoppers.

Asos said 68 percent of consumers say it is easier to know what to buy than how to wear it. Roach said the relationship began a few years ago when Asos dressed him for the Fashion Awards, adding: "I really loved that look. It was this sheer polka-dot top, and I felt really great in my body and from there the relationship just developed."

Asos Magazine relaunch

The appointment landed alongside the relaunch of Asos Magazine. Roach styled six covers for the new issue, and each cover links to a shoppable edit that breaks the look down into a complete outfit at Asos price points.

The edits focus on maximalist looks, statement tailoring, elevated layering and modern takes on heritage pieces. Roach will also work with the Asos team on seasonal campaigns and trend direction, which gives the company a single creative point of view across product presentation and styling guidance.

Vanessa Spence on Roach

Vanessa Spence called Roach "one of the most influential creative voices in fashion today." She said: "As we continue establishing Asos as The Stylist, his eye and understanding of fashion culture will help us bring more inspiration, curation and confidence to our customers,"

Roach said, "I’ve always been fascinated by the power of fashion to transform how people see themselves and how they show up in the world. What excites me about Asos is the opportunity to help more people discover their own point of view through style." He also said, "I’d hope that my point of view and the work we create together can inspire other parts of the business too. It has the potential to grow organically and influence how Asos thinks about fashion and styling more broadly. That’s what makes the relationship exciting,"

London Fashion Week activations

Asos said further parts of the partnership will be revealed later, including London Fashion Week activations and additional style-led projects. That means the magazine relaunch is the first public piece of a broader rollout, with the next wave of details expected to show how the new role reaches shoppers beyond the covers.

The immediate effect for customers is practical: more outfit-building help built into the brand’s own content, with shoppable looks replacing the gap between wanting a product and knowing how to wear it. Asos is betting that guidance will matter as much as choice.
