Barcelona and Alavés will meet on 31 October in the 11th round of the Spanish championship, with the match in Barcelona set to begin at 23:00 Moscow time. For viewers planning ahead, the broadcast will start at 22:55 on Match! Football 2, giving fans a few minutes to settle in before kickoff.
The appointment of Adrián Vega as the main referee adds another detail to a fixture that already carries recent history on both sides. Last season, Alavés beat Barcelona 1:0 at home, while Barcelona responded with a 3:1 win on their own ground. That split says a lot about the matchup: each team has already shown it can make this series uncomfortable for the other.
What to watch on match night
This game also matters in the broader La Liga table, where Barcelona are sitting on 27 points and Alavés are on 12 points, with the visitors occupying seventh place. Those figures give the meeting an added layer of context, even if the immediate question for many supporters is much simpler: when does it start, and where can it be seen live?
The answer is clear. Barcelona vs Alavés begins on 31 October at 23:00 Moscow time, and the live coverage on Match! Football 2 starts at 22:55. With Adrián Vega in charge, the match should move quickly from pregame anticipation to the kind of contest that can reshape the mood around both clubs.
