Nathan Fielder’s See Everything Movie Tops $10.6 Million Race

The see everything movie race tightened to a sliver on Sunday morning, with A24’s You Can See Everything at $10.6 million and Warner Bros’ Clayface at $10.4 million. Nathan Fielder’s film had already pulled in $3.58 million on Halloween, keeping the contest close as the box office worked through a soft holiday frame.

By the time Sunday estimates landed, the gap was only a few hundred thousand dollars. That is a narrow margin for a weekend in which the overall market was down 38% from the previous weekend and headed for the third lowest grossing weekend of the year.

Halloween sets the pace

Clayface won Halloween with $4.2 million, while You Can See Everything followed at $3.58 million. That gave Warner Bros and A24 a head start in a frame where the top titles were separated by little enough that each update could change the order.

You Can See Everything was in 3,243 theaters in its third week and finished Friday at $3.56 million for a $10.8 million three-day weekend. Clayface played in 3,478 theaters in its second week and reached $3.25 million on Friday en route to $10.4 million across the three days.

Sunday estimates narrow it

Sunday looked to belong to both films, with You Can See Everything at $3.45 million and Clayface at $2.8 million in the morning estimates. That shift pushed Nathan Fielder’s film ahead in the live weekend read, even though the race remained tight enough that the finish still depended on the final accounting.

PostTrak showed Clayface with a 68% definite recommend and 4 1/2 stars, plus an 85% positive score with guys leading at 63%. Those exits suggest the film had audience support even as the weekend itself stayed soft enough that strong word of mouth could not widen the gap.

Warner Bros and A24

Clayface came in with a worldwide gross of $22.8 million and an $83 million running cume, while You Can See Everything was still early in its rollout, with Turkey open at 120 locations and launches set for Australia and New Zealand on Nov. 12 and the UK on Nov. 20. The box office fight, though, is still the immediate story: the final order between these two films was not locked by Sunday morning, only squeezed down to the smallest kind of weekend margin.

If you are tracking the race, the only clean read is that You Can See Everything had the edge in Sunday estimates while Clayface owned Halloween itself. In a weak frame, that kind of swing can decide the weekend winner by lunch.
