Plot Summary
The narrative centers around Claire, played by Mia Goth. Claire is a woman who has spent her life catering to the expectations of others, particularly her husband, Gregory, portrayed by Dan Stevens. Gregory has a passion for studying bears in Glacier National Park, which often leaves Claire alone for long periods.
Tragedy strikes when a grizzly bear, nicknamed Mr. Cranky by Gregory, mauls him to death during one of Claire’s visits. After learning from park rangers that Mr. Cranky was euthanized, Claire discovers the truth: the bear was relocated to another national park and is thriving.
Claire’s Journey
Motivated by grief and a newfound desire for empowerment, Claire decides to seek revenge against the bear. To aid her quest, she partners with Putt, a socially awkward park ranger played by Zach Galifianakis. However, Putt’s own mysterious motivations complicate their mission.
