New Features for the 2026 GRAMMYs
This year, the GRAMMYs will introduce two new categories: Best Traditional Country Album and Best Album Cover. The Best Album Cover category honors artistic contributions in album packaging, recognizing the art directors behind influential visuals. The existing category for Best Country Album has been renamed Best Contemporary Country Album to better reflect the genre’s evolution.
Inclusion of Emerging Artists
For the first time, GRAMMY U members will have the opportunity to submit music for consideration. This initiative aims to broaden the recognition of upcoming talents in the industry.
How Winners Are Determined
The GRAMMY Awards are peer-recognized, with nominees and winners selected by active members of the Recording Academy across 22 genres. The voting process follows two phases: First Round Voting for nominations and Final Round Voting for determining winners.
