He spoke during the consideration of the Epstein Files Transparency Act, emphasizing the importance of transparency and accountability.
Chairman Comer’s Defense Against Anti-Trump Claims
Comer criticized Democrats for misrepresenting evidence related to the Epstein case. He asserted that their actions included altering documents and selectively leaking information to support their stance against former President Donald Trump. One point made during the committee’s examination was the testimony of former U.S. Attorney General William Barr. Barr stated that no evidence linked Trump to any wrongdoing regarding Epstein. Contrarily, Democratic Ranking Member Robert Garcia incorrectly claimed that Barr could not clear Trump.
