The Powerhouse Gym is set to become a major addition to the Partridge Creek Mall in Clinton Township. This new facility will be the largest Powerhouse Gym in the world, transforming a space previously occupied by Carson’s department store.
Construction and Features of Powerhouse Gym
The Michigan-based gym chain is finalizing renovations on a two-story, 120,000-square-foot building located at the east end of the mall. A prominent new sign has sparked interest, with many motorists stopping to admire the updated storefront.
Although a specific opening date has not been confirmed, the gym is anticipated to begin operations in early 2026, with a focus on winter. Powerhouse Gym’s leadership announced that the membership office is currently open and actively enrolling new members.

Powerhouse Gym plans to invest approximately $11 million into the facility’s interior renovations. Members can expect a diverse range of fitness services, including:

- A basketball court
- Yoga and cycling studios
- A dry sauna

The mall currently has one remaining anchor store vacancy, previously occupied by Nordstrom. Clinton Township Supervisor Paul Gieleghem hinted at future developments for this site, indicating plans for a retail experience that incorporates active involvement.
