Bandai Namco Entertainment has announced the upcoming release of Ace Combat 8: Wings of Theve. This new installment in the popular Ace Combat series was unveiled during the recent Game Awards.

Ace Combat 8 is set to launch in 2026, available on multiple platforms including:
- PlayStation 5
- Xbox Series X|S
- PC via Steam
Ace Combat Series Background
The Ace Combat franchise began in 1992 and has become renowned for its exciting modern air combat scenarios. The previous entry, Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown, was released in January 2019 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, with a PC version following in February. Despite originally being scheduled for a 2017 release, Ace Combat 7 experienced multiple delays before its eventual launch.
Additionally, a Deluxe Edition for Ace Combat 7 was released digitally for the Nintendo Switch in July 2024, showcasing the series’ ongoing evolution and expansion into new markets.

Kazutoki Kono, a producer for Bandai Namco Entertainment, confirmed in 2021 that development for the next Ace Combat title was already underway, building anticipation for fans of the franchise.
