Crystal Mountain Ski Resort Opens Saturday; Limited Access from Highway 410 Damage
Crystal Mountain Ski Resort is gearing up to welcome visitors for the 2025-26 season. The resort’s limited operations will commence on Saturday. Recent severe weather has caused significant damage to Highway 410, complicating access to the resort.
Access Challenges Due to Highway 410 Damage
The recent historic precipitation has resulted in the partial collapse of Highway 410 near Enumclaw. To ensure safety and protect road integrity, the Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) has requested limited access to the resort until road repairs are completed, which might take until January.
Access Restrictions and Parking Reservations
- Crystal Mountain has capped the number of parking reservations to manage traffic more effectively.
- All guests must secure a parking reservation to visit the resort.
- Parking reservations are free within a seven-day window and cost $10 if booked outside this timeframe.
Visitors who hold mid-week or weekend daily tickets must also have a parking reservation to enter the resort. If they do not have a reservation, guests are encouraged to carpool using the SP+ Carpool App.
Skiing and Snow Conditions
Skiers will have access to several lifts, including the Green Valley Express via the Mount Rainier Gondola, the Chinook Express, and the Discovery lifts. The upper mountain has reported over a foot of new snow in the last two days, with additional snowfall anticipated throughout the weekend.
Park-and-Ride Services
The Enumclaw Expo Center parking lot will continue to function as a park-and-ride location for guests. Once daily tickets are sold out online, those with parking reservations can buy tickets on-site at Guest Services, along with those carpooling with reservation holders.
