Bombardier Expands Capacity with New Montreal Manufacturing Center
Bombardier has announced plans for a new manufacturing center in Dorval, Quebec, to enhance production capabilities for its business aircraft. The facility will cover 126,000 square feet and represents a significant investment of around $100 million. It is slated to open before the end of 2027.

Construction of this facility is expected to create numerous skilled job opportunities. The project has garnered support from the Quebec government, with Economy Minister Christine Fréchette announcing a $35 million repayable loan through an Investissement Québec program.

Éric Martel, Bombardier’s president and CEO, indicated that the growing international demand for the Challenger 3500 business jet is driving this expansion. He noted that boosting production rates would likely lead to new hires at the Dorval facility.
