Swim and Dive Celebrates 12 Seniors at Friday’s Meet vs. Mount St. Mary’s
The American University swimming and diving team will honor its senior class during a special ceremony on Friday, January 16, 2026. This recognition will take place before their final home meet against Mount St. Mary’s, scheduled to begin at 4 p.m. The Senior Day ceremony is set for 3:50 p.m. on the pool deck.

This meet serves as an important preparation for the upcoming Patriot League Championships in February. The events will unfold in the following sequence:

Parking Information
Parking will be available at the Katzen Arts Center and the School of International Service. Standard hourly garage rates will apply from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Recent Performance Against Mount St. Mary’s
The last face-off between American University and Mount St. Mary’s occurred in October 2023. The women’s team achieved a decisive victory, winning eight of twelve events, while the men secured four wins. Noteworthy performances included:
- Kate Williams, a junior, won the 200 meter freestyle and 400 meter freestyle.
- Isabel McGovern contributed to the women’s 200 freestyle relay victory and also claimed first in the 50 butterfly.
- Diver Peyton Thurman won the 1-meter diving event with a score of 221.70.
