This year’s tournament not only features the Diablos Rojos but will also include teams from Venezuela, Cuba, the United States, and for the first time, an Asian team. The inaugural Baseball Champions League Americas took place in Merida, Yucatan, in September 2023. The first tournament featured champions from various leagues, including the LMB and Cuba’s Serie Nacional. The Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks, led by former MLB catcher Chris Coste, emerged as the first champions, defeating Caimanes de Barranquilla with an impressive score of 8-0.
In the following tournament, the Diablos Rojos claimed the title by beating the Lenadores de Las Tunas 6-1 at Alfredo Harp Helu stadium. The 2025 event showcased six teams, introducing champions from Puerto Rico, Curacao, and Nicaragua alongside the established competitors.
