Violence erupted outside the Antoine-Brossard secondary school on Wednesday evening, highlighting ongoing security concerns in the area. At least two gunshots were fired, a person was stabbed, and pepper spray was used during a confrontation involving several youths in a parking lot adjacent to a small shopping center across from the school.

Details of the Incident

A video obtained by the QMI Agency captured the sounds of gunfire. Following the incident, local authorities confirmed the arrest of an 18-year-old suspect for armed assault. He has since been released with a promise to appear in court at a later date.

During the altercation, two individuals sustained injuries, including one who was stabbed. Fortunately, officials stated that their lives were not in danger.

She noted that residents are understandably frustrated and emphasized that only a small minority of students are responsible for the majority of the issues at the large school.
