Burglars Steal $17,000 in Valuables from Bungalow
In an alarming incident, a 22-year-old man, Sohil Parmar, was apprehended for stealing valuables worth ₹17 lakh (approximately $17,000) from a bungalow in Sadhna Society, Surat. The theft transpired on Friday night while the family was asleep in their home.
Details of the Theft
Keyur Kheni, a 38-year-old hotelier, reported the theft occurring around 1:30 a.m. His family had gone to bed just after midnight. Parmar, after discovering the house keys under the pillow of the sleeping security guard, Chandan, accessed multiple rooms in the bungalow.

The theft took place with Kheni and his family unaware in their separate rooms. The family discovered the stolen items when they woke up at 8 a.m. and promptly reviewed CCTV footage from their home.
Police Investigation
Upon receiving a report at 10 a.m., police inspector R.B. Gojiya coordinated a team response. They utilized both human and technical resources to track and apprehend Parmar within three hours in Tarapur, Anand district.
Arrest and Recovery
Parmar was found traveling on a state transport bus to his hometown, Bhavnagar. Authorities managed to recover all stolen items during his arrest.
