FIGS Sponsors Team USA’s Medical Staff for the Olympic Games

FIGS, a prominent healthcare apparel brand, is set to sponsor Team USA’s medical staff during the upcoming Olympic Games. This collaboration highlights FIGS’ commitment to providing high-quality, functional apparel designed for medical professionals.

Innovative Fabric for Medical Apparel

FIGS has gained recognition for its signature fabric, developed over two years. This innovative material is characterized by its technical and functional properties, ensuring durability and comfort.

The standout product in their collection is a red scrub jumpsuit, tailored to address common issues such as looseness. This jumpsuit includes features like water-resistant fabric and extra pockets for practicality.

Patriotic Color Palette

The collection also features a variety of outerwear, knitwear, and accessories. All items celebrate the colors of the American flag: red, white, and blue. This selection aims to support and represent the medical community on a global stage.

Lindsey Vonn’s Partnership with FIGS

Olympic champion Lindsey Vonn has joined FIGS as an investor and brand ambassador. Her involvement enhances FIGS’ messaging while also honoring her healthcare team, which includes:

  • Dr. Tom Hackett
  • Dr. Mondo González
  • Lindsey Winninger
  • Lorenzo Gonzalez
  • Shawna Niles

This team was instrumental in her recovery after a Mako partial knee replacement, enabling her return to competitive sports.

Vonn’s Road to Recovery

Vonn expressed the critical role her medical team plays not only in injury management but also in optimizing her performance. The surgeries and rehabilitation processes are tailored to keep her physically and mentally prepared for intense competition.

After multiple injuries throughout her career, including a severe knee injury, Vonn announced her retirement in 2019. However, a partial titanium knee replacement in April 2024 rejuvenated her career, allowing a remarkable recovery.

Competitive Comeback

Just days post-surgery, Vonn regained mobility in her knee, enabling her to return to racing. By December 2024, she rejoined the World Cup circuit and notably secured two event victories.

Dr. Hackett emphasized Vonn’s enhanced physical capabilities and mental resilience following her recovery, showcasing her growth as an athlete.

Upcoming Olympic Goals

Following her recent injuries, including an ACL tear during a training crash in Switzerland, Vonn is slated to compete in the women’s downhill event on February 8. Her training progress demonstrates her commitment to excelling at the Olympic Games.
