On the afternoon of Tuesday, February 10th, authorities urged community members to remain indoors. The alert recommends that individuals:

- Lock all doors and windows.

- Do not attend school unless directed to do so.
Suspect Description and Safety Measures
The alert provides a description of the suspected individual involved. The alleged shooter is described as a woman wearing a dress and has brown hair. Authorities have instructed residents not to approach this individual. Instead, they should contact emergency services by calling 9-1-1.
As a precautionary measure, Tumbler Ridge Secondary and Tumbler Ridge Elementary schools are currently in lockdown mode. School District 59 has communicated the situation to parents and guardians while assuring them that the safety of students is a priority.
