Nanaimo RCMP Probes Missing Man Case
The Nanaimo RCMP is currently investigating a missing person case concerning an adult male. The individual left his home on February 9, 2026, and has remained unaccounted for since then.
Nanaimo RCMP’s Investigation of Missing Man
After the missing person’s report was filed, officers searched various locations frequented by the man. They also coordinated with partner agencies to locate his vehicle.
Discovery of the Vehicle
The man’s vehicle was located later that evening on a B.C. Ferry at Tsawwassen Terminal. Security footage from the ferry captured someone resembling the missing man entering the water as the vessel traveled.
Search Efforts Underway
In response to this development, the Joint Rescue Coordination Centre (JRCC) and RCMP West Coast Marine Services commenced a search of the nearby waters. The Nanaimo RCMP is leading the investigation and is collaborating with multiple agencies:

- Gabriola RCMP
- RCMP West Coast Marine Services
