Sophie Turner Reacts to Kissing ‘Game of Thrones’ Co-star Kit Harington in New Film
Former “Game of Thrones” co-stars Sophie Turner and Kit Harington are reuniting on the big screen in the upcoming horror film, “The Dreadful.”
Sophie Turner and Kit Harington: On-Screen Lovers Again
In this film, Turner and Harington portray lovers, a notable shift from their previous roles as siblings Jon Snow and Sansa Stark. Set in the 15th century, the story revolves around Anne (Turner) and her mother-in-law, Morwen, living on the fringes of society. Their lives are disrupted when a man from their past, played by Harington, resurfaces, triggering dramatic events.
Insight into the Kissing Scenes
The experience of filming kissing scenes resulted in some comical moments. During a previous interview on “Late Night With Seth Meyers,” Turner mentioned sending the script to Harington. His response highlighted the awkwardness of their situation. “Yeah, I’d love to, but this is going to be really weird, Soph,” Turner recalled him saying.
Turner expressed her discomfort when she realized the script called for an abundance of romantic interactions. “Oh, shoot, that’s my brother,” she remarked, noting how they both felt uneasy on set during their first kissing scene, describing it as “vile.”
Harington’s Take on the Experience
Harington shared his own thoughts with E! News, agreeing that the experience was strange. He noted that he felt odd about the intimate scenes, given their history on “Game of Thrones.” Despite the awkwardness, he appreciated the opportunity to work with Turner once again, even humorously mentioning that he had to stand on an apple box to reach her height during the kiss.
