Nio Mar Vehicle Deliveries Surge to 35,486, Exceeding Quarterly Guidance

Nio Inc. recorded a remarkable milestone in March 2024, delivering 35,486 vehicles. This achievement marks a 136% increase compared to the same month last year and a significant rise of 70.63% from February’s figures. The recent success has propelled the company beyond its quarterly delivery guidance.

Nio Vehicle Deliveries Surge

In the first quarter of 2024, Nio’s total vehicle deliveries reached 83,465, reflecting a year-on-year growth of 98.28%. Although this figure is down 33.12% from the previous quarter, it exceeded the company’s initial guidance range of 80,000 to 83,000 vehicles.

Breakdown of Deliveries

The March deliveries included:

  • 22,490 vehicles from the Nio brand
  • 6,877 vehicles from the Onvo sub-brand
  • 6,119 vehicles from Firefly

The flagship ES8 model significantly contributed to these impressive numbers, achieving 16,255 deliveries in March alone. It has become the best-selling large SUV in China for three consecutive months.

Upcoming Product Launches

To maintain sales momentum, Nio plans an intensive series of product launches starting this April. Key announcements include:

  • The launch of the 2026 versions of the ES6, EC6, ET5, and ET5 Touring on April 2.
  • An event for the new flagship SUV, the ES9, on April 9.
  • The 2026 edition of the Onvo L90 large SUV by late April.
  • A five-seat version of the ES8 expected in early July.

Future Projections

Nio’s recent robust performance and new product rollouts are anticipated to support its growth trajectory, especially during traditionally slower sales periods. Recently, the company also reported an operating profit of 1.25 billion yuan in Q4 of the previous year, signaling a strong financial turnaround.

As Nio embarks on this phase of expansion, market expectations remain high for continued momentum in vehicle deliveries and an enhanced product lineup that appeals to a diverse customer base.
