The central problem is that hundreds of applications in a typical enterprise remain disconnected from centralized identity systems, leaving AI agents exposed to blind spots that can turn compliance issues into operational threats.

The concern is no longer limited to legacy applications or local accounts. As enterprises deploy AI copilots and autonomous agents to raise productivity, those tools often need access to systems that sit outside centralized control, increasing credential exposure and the chance of stale tokens being reused.
