Mexc Traders Watch 60.59% BTC.D Close Near June 2026 Cross

mexc traders closed the month with Bitcoin dominance at 60.59% as Matthew Hyland flagged a monthly death cross nearing June 2026. The setup puts 61% resistance, a rare historical signal, and a possible move toward altcoins back in focus for anyone watching BTC and ETH relative strength.

Hyland's June 2026 Signal

Hyland said the slower yellow moving average is set to cross below the faster white moving average around June 2026. That signal has appeared only twice before, in July 2016 and January 2021, and both times were followed by sharp drops in dominance and aggressive rotations into altcoins.

Bitcoin dominance also stalled at 60.75% just below resistance at 61%. A clean break above that level would open the door to 62% and the 66% June high. A rejection at 61% points price action down toward the 0.618 Fibonacci retracement at 49.23%.

Ethereum At $2,280

Ethereum traded at $2,280 inside an ascending parallel channel that had guided price action since February. The token broke below the channel midline on April 27, and its daily Relative Strength Index also broke through its own ascending trendline that day.

Heavy accumulation around $2,050 overlaps with the lower band of the rising channel, making it the primary downside target if sellers press the move. A clean reclaim of the channel midline opens the door to a 50% measured move toward $3,430, while closer overhead resistance sits at $2,750.

Bitcoin Dominance Near 61%

The friction point is simple for traders: Bitcoin dominance printed a 60.59% monthly close, but the chart still sits just below the 61% line that separates a push higher from a possible reversal. CryptoKaleo's bullish case for ETH depends on whether that altcoin strength can hold while BTC.D keeps pressing against resistance.

For traders, the practical watchlist is narrow. BTC.D needs a clean move through 61% to extend toward 62% and 66%, while ETH needs to reclaim its midline to challenge $2,750 and then $3,430.
