Transat Porter Airlines Partnership Adds 4 South Package Routes
The transat porter airlines partnership is adding new vacation packages on Porter non-stop flights to Nassau, Grand Cayman, Cancun and Puerto Vallarta, with travel available on or after November 1, 2026. The move gives Canadian travellers more ways to book South trips through Transat’s channels, including direct customers and travel agencies.
Four South destinations, one package
4 destinations are now in the package mix, and each will pair Porter flights with Transat hotel options. The offerings include a curated selection of hotels in each destination, with a mix of all-inclusive and European Plan options depending on the property. For travellers, that means the flight and stay are being sold together rather than as separate pieces.
November 1, 2026 is the first travel date for the new packages from Toronto, Ottawa and Hamilton. For Cancun and Puerto Vallarta, the packages will feature expanded flight options operated by either Porter or Transat. That gives customers more routing choice on two of the most demanded sun markets in the announcement.
Porter and Transat deepen ties
The two airlines signed their joint venture at the end of 2023, and Porter said its initial entry into traditional South vacation markets with an air-only product this season was a huge success. The package launch turns that air-only push into a broader saleable product, with hotel inventory folded in under Transat’s tour operator framework.
Edmond Eldebs said, "Our partnership with Transat is reaching a new milestone." He added, "Porter’s initial entry into traditional South vacation markets with an air-only product this season was a huge success." He also said, "The introduction of packages gives Canadian travellers another seamless way to experience Porter’s elevated flying experience paired with Transat's trusted package expertise," and, "We're proud of what we're building together and excited about the possibilities it creates for travellers."
Renée Boisvert on broader reach
Renée Boisvert said, "These additions mark a significant enhancement to Transat’s South destination portfolio," and, "Through our partnership with Porter Airlines, we’re expanding our reach with sought-after destinations like Nassau and George Town, while giving travellers more ways to build the trip that suits them best." Those remarks point to the practical change for customers: more destinations, more flight combinations and package access through Transat’s full range of distribution channels.
Nearly 5,000 employees work at Transat, which was voted World's Best Leisure Airline by passengers at the 2025 Skytrax World Airline Awards. The new packages do not change the basic market math for travellers looking for winter sun, but they do widen the number of ways to buy it through one booking path and a broader set of departure cities.
