Chery-backed LEPAS unveils 3-model NEV portfolio at Auto China 2026

Chery-backed LEPAS unveiled three NEV models at Auto China 2026 on April 24, 2026, launching its “Year of Delivery” with the LEPAS L6 EV, LEPAS L4 EV, and LEPAS L6 PHEV. The premium brand framed the move around its “Preferred Brand for Elegant Mobility Life” positioning and said it plans 10 NEV models over the next three years.

That puts chery’s newest brand into a tighter global rollout schedule, with the launch tied to a show that drew more than 4,000 guests from over 100 countries. For buyers and partners, the immediate signal is not just a new badge on display, but a product cadence that is set to expand quickly from three models to 10.

Auto China 2026 debut

April 24 marked LEPAS’s premiere as Chery Group’s all-new premium NEV brand, with the company presenting its strategy and product portfolio under the theme “Elegance Moves the World.” LEPAS said the brand rests on three pillars: Leopard Aesthetics, Exquisite Space, and Elegant Technology.

Three models formed the first public line-up: the LEPAS L6 EV, the LEPAS L4 EV, and the LEPAS L6 PHEV. LEPAS also said its portfolio is built on the LEX intelligent NEV platform and structured around the L4, L6, and L8 series, giving the brand a product map rather than a single launch model.

L6 EV and L4 EV specs

The LEPAS L6 EV comes with VPD, H-NOA, Bosch IPB 2.0, and an AI Agent. The LEPAS L4 EV carries 160kW power, multi-link suspension, 21 ADAS and connectivity features, and a 500 km-class range, which places the car’s technical pitch squarely on range, driver assistance, and software functions.

One model still adds a second stage to the rollout: the LEPAS L6 PHEV will begin global validation through the LEPAS Global Journey of Elegant Driving. That leaves the brand showing two battery-electric vehicles and one plug-in hybrid at the same event, a split that suggests LEPAS wants both showroom traffic and real-world testing before its full line reaches market.

Chery global network push

More than 4,000 guests from over 100 countries visited Chery Group’s booth, and Yin Tongyue described the company’s focus as “long-term vision, world-class quality, and global partnership.” Zhang Guibing said the participation of over 4,000 partners reflects global trust and will continue to drive smarter, greener mobility worldwide.

Five days before Auto China 2026, LEPAS made its European debut at Milan Design Week, and the LEPAS Global Partner Conference was scheduled for April 26 to 28, 2026. If LEPAS can turn the Auto China launch into distributor and validation momentum, the brand’s next test is whether that 10-model plan can move from presentation to delivery without losing the premium positioning it just claimed.
