Karthik Backs RCB to Rebound Before Rcb Vs Mi Clash
RCB enter rcb vs mi after two consecutive defeats, but Dinesh Karthik said the side will try to answer that dip by putting a smile back on supporters’ faces. The match is also RCB’s first at Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Stadium in Raipur, where they arrive with third place still intact on net run rate.
Raipur welcome for RCB
Karthik said the group has settled into the new setting quickly. “For a long time we have been playing in Chinnaswamy, and now we have come to a new city which we embrace as our own in Raipur,” he said in a video released by RCB on X. That shift gives the team a different setting for a game they need to handle cleanly after back-to-back losses.
He added that the message inside the camp has stayed simple. “So far, the messaging has been very straightforward. We are very confident with what we are doing as a process, and in this tournament, there is always an odd hiccup. It’s important that you deal with it in a positive way,” Karthik said. He also said the batters and bowlers have understood the request to assess and adapt when conditions get difficult.
RCB third on net run rate
RCB’s position makes the response more urgent. They were third on the points table because of a superior net run rate, so another loss would put that top-four spot under pressure. The current cushion is slender enough that the result against Mumbai Indians carries more weight than a routine league game.
Karthik’s public target was framed around the fans as much as the table. “As always, I know how passionate RCB fans are. 12th man army, I am sure you are going to bring all the love and support you have got, and it’s going to be a great evening,” he said. “And we will do our best to put a smile on your face and play a brand of cricket that you love watching.”
Mumbai Indians sit ninth
Mumbai Indians arrive with a different kind of pressure. They had won their third match of the season by beating Lucknow Super Giants by six wickets in a high-scoring match, but they were still in ninth position with six points in ten matches. If they lose to RCB, they would be the first team eliminated.
That sets up a match with consequences at both ends of the table. RCB are trying to stop a slide that has already produced two straight defeats, while Mumbai are playing to stay alive after moving only to a low-scoring points position despite that six-wicket win. Raipur gets the first look at both teams in the same frame, and RCB need the cleaner response.
