Madame Émile s’en va à la SAQ, émily Bégin lance sa première commande
émily Bégin says Madame Émile has moved from a long-running idea to a finished product, with the first official order now produced and the gin set to reach SAQ stores soon. The 44-year-old host, singer, and actress made the update after first unveiling the project publicly in 2023.
Madame Émile en production
"Après énormément de travail, de dégustations, d’essais et de passion… la toute première commande officielle a finalement été produite!!!" Bégin wrote in her post, adding: "Nous sommes en production dès maintenant". She also described the bottle as "Un gin gaspésien floral, élégant et complètement unique."
Those details turn the project into more than a celebrity side venture. The product is now in production, with bottling set for Friday and shipment to the SAQ scheduled for next week, which puts the gin on a concrete retail path instead of leaving it at the announcement stage.
Distillerie O’Dwyer and Quebec shelves
Three years after she first spoke about it publicly, the collaboration with Distillerie O’Dwyer has reached the point where consumers in Quebec should soon be able to buy it in SAQ stores. Bégin also wrote, "Expédition vers la SAQ la semaine prochaine!!!" and said, "on a tellement hâte que vous puissiez enfin y goûter."
The timing matters because the bottle image she shared shows the project is no longer just conceptual. For a personal product like this, the move from tasting and testing to an actual first order is the commercial milestone that counts.
Sucré Salé in 2026
Bégin is not stepping away from television while this lands. She also has a contract for the 2026 season of Sucré Salé, where she rides in a taxi with Quebec personalities and speaks with guests during the ride. The show’s team has already released a first excerpt pairing her with Marthe Laverdière.
That leaves Madame Émile with a clear near-term rollout: bottling on Friday, shipment the following week, and retail availability through the SAQ soon after. The next thing readers will actually be able to judge is the bottle itself, not the announcement around it.
