Bill Gates Superyacht Berths A01 and A02 Hit Market
Two superyacht berths at Antibes’ Port Vauban that were adapted for Bill Gates’ 119-metre Breakthrough have been placed on the market. The moorings, A01 and A02 on the Billionaires’ Quay, are being sold through yacht brokerage firm Edminston with private offers accepted.

The berths were acquired in 2020 for the hydrogen-powered vessel and later linked to a marina upgrade that made Port Vauban the first in the world able to supply liquid hydrogen to large pleasure vessels. Industry observers put their value at several tens of millions of euros, but no asking price has been disclosed.
Breakthrough and Gates
Breakthrough was reportedly commissioned by Gates and later sold before he ever used it. The 119-metre yacht changed hands in a deal worth around $650 million and is now owned by Canadian businessman Patrick Dovigi.
The sale leaves the two Antibes berths tied to a vessel their original buyer never took aboard, and the market is now testing how much prestige moorings on the French Riviera can command when they are offered privately rather than through a public listing. French media suggested Gates’ 2021 divorce and growing scrutiny over the environmental impact of ultra-luxury yachts may have influenced the decision to sell the yacht.
