Bp Pulse opens 3 DC fast-charging sites in Louisiana, Texas and Virginia

bp pulse opened its first site in Louisiana and two additional public DC fast-charging sites in Virginia and Texas, expanding its U.S. charging network to 3 new locations. Each site has 12 charging bays and charging speeds of up to 400 kW.

Louisiana Site Near Slidell

The Louisiana site sits at exit 266 on I-10 near Slidell. It includes pull-through and ADA charging stalls, a detail that gives drivers more ways to use the station without backing into a space or leaving access needs to chance.

All three sites are at Travel Centers of America stations, placing the chargers where drivers can also find a travel store, rest rooms, an ATM, a pet area and restaurants. For travelers on long interstate trips, that keeps charging tied to a stop already built around a break from the road.

Virginia And Texas Openings

The Virginia location is at exit 89 on I-95 near North Richmond, while the Texas site is near East San Antonio. Together with Louisiana, the openings add public DC fast-charging options in three states at once, all using CCS and NACS connectors.

That mix of connectors matters because it allows more EV drivers to use the same sites without needing a separate network stop. The 400 kW top speed also puts the new locations in the fast-charging category drivers look for when they want a shorter stop.

bp pulse Network Expansion

The company continues to expand its U.S. network of public DC fast chargers, and the June 5, 2026 report described the Texas, Virginia and Louisiana openings as part of that push. The practical change for drivers is simple: three more places to charge, each with 12 bays, spread across major travel corridors.

For drivers planning routes through Louisiana, Virginia or Texas, the new sites add another stop option at interstate exits rather than requiring a detour away from the highway. Those exits are the most direct detail in the expansion, and they are the part drivers can use right away.
