Cathie Wood Tesla Stock Sale: ARK Sells $12.3 Million Archer Shares

Cathie wood tesla stock sale moved into focus this week as ARK Invest sold US$12.3 million of Archer Aviation stock. The trim lands while Archer’s Midnight eVTOL still has to clear certification hurdles before real-world flights can begin, keeping the stock tied to FAA timing rather than operating scale.

US$12.3 million is the most direct signal in the trade, and it came as Archer advanced into Phase 3 of the FAA Type Certification process for Midnight. That leaves investors with a narrower set of milestones to watch: regulatory progress, not just product development, now drives the near-term share story.

Archer’s Phase 3 step

Phase 3 in the FAA Type Certification process is the milestone that matters here because it puts Midnight deeper into the approval path. Early eVTOL Integration Pilot Program routes are being prepared, and potential government work with partners like Anduril was mentioned, adding another layer of activity around the aircraft’s eventual use case.

US$533.9 million in revenue and US$46.6 million in earnings are the figures Archer’s narrative projects for 2029. Reaching that level would require 1111.8% yearly revenue growth and a US$664.8 million earnings increase from US$-618.2 million today, which shows how far the company still has to run before the forecast becomes operational reality.

ARK’s Archer trim

US$11.28 is the fair value attached to Archer in the forecast, with 123% upside to the current price. Some optimistic analysts were assuming revenue could climb toward US$868.1 million by 2029, but the gap between those scenarios and today’s loss base keeps the stock highly sensitive to every FAA checkpoint.

US$12.3 million in stock sales does not change Archer’s certification schedule, but it does show how quickly the market can reset when regulatory progress becomes the main catalyst. Prolonged cash burn and any delay to commercial services remain the pressure points that will matter most until Midnight moves further through the FAA process.
