Paul Flack was found unresponsive at his home in Sandringham Road, Norwich, on 21 June and later died at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital. He was 55. Norfolk Police said the death is being treated as unexplained, and an inquest has opened at Norfolk Coroner's Court.
Norfolk Police statement
Police said officers were called by ambulance after concerns for the safety of a man in his 50s at the property. The force said he was taken to Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital but was pronounced dead at 10.44pm on 21 June. It said it does not currently believe there are any suspicious circumstances.
Paul was Caroline Flack's older brother. Caroline was found dead at her home in Stoke Newington, London, on 15 February 2020, and an inquest later established that she had taken her own life at the age of 40. Both siblings were born in London and grew up in Norfolk.
Flackstock reaction
Flackstock, which was set up to promote mental health awareness in Caroline's memory, said on Instagram that it was beyond heartbroken. It said: "We loved Paul so deeply, and this news has shattered us all. Paul was funny, kind and loving." It added: "He gave the best hugs and had the most brilliant laugh. We will miss him so much."
The death leaves the family with another loss six years after Caroline's death, while the coroner's process now moves toward an October hearing. That hearing is the point at which the circumstances around Paul's death can be examined in full.
