Fiserv Unveils Leadership Updates and Board Refreshment
Fiserv, Inc. has announced significant updates to its leadership team and Board of Directors to enhance its strategic direction. These changes aim to bolster execution and create long-term shareholder value, as stated by CEO Mike Lyons.
Leadership Changes at Fiserv
Starting December 1, 2025, Takis Georgakopoulos and Dhivya Suryadevara will take on the roles of Co-Presidents. Georgakopoulos, currently the Chief Operating Officer for Technology and Merchant Solutions, will continue overseeing these areas. Suryadevara, previously the CEO of Optum Financial Services, will lead Financial Solutions, Sales, and Operations.
CEO Mike Lyons praised both executives for their experience and strategic insight. He expressed confidence that their leadership will create new growth opportunities for Fiserv.
Appointment of Chief Financial Officer
Also effective October 31, 2025, Paul Todd will be Fiserv’s new Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Todd, who previously served as CFO of Global Payments, is expected to bring extensive industry experience to the role. He will succeed Robert Hau, who will assist in the transition as a senior advisor until early 2026.
Board Refreshment Initiatives
Starting January 1, 2026, three new members will join Fiserv’s Board of Directors: Gordon Nixon, Gary Shedlin, and Céline Dufétel. Nixon will become the Independent Chairman of the Board, succeeding Doyle Simons, who, along with Kevin Warren, will step down on the same date.
- Gordon Nixon: Former CEO of Royal Bank of Canada.
- Gary Shedlin: Vice Chairman at BlackRock and former CFO.
- Céline Dufétel: Current CFO of Bridgewater Associates.
This restructuring aims to integrate fresh perspectives to steer Fiserv toward sustained success. The new Board will consist of 11 members, 10 being independent, with six having joined within the last two years.
