A.P. Moller – Maersk has announced significant changes to its regional leadership structure, effective January 1, 2026. This adjustment aligns with the company’s strategic priorities focused on growth and customer-centricity.

New Regional Leaders Appointed

The upcoming leadership transition includes several key appointments:

  • Ditlev Blicher will become the Regional President for North America. Blicher has been with Maersk since 2020, previously leading efforts in the Asia-Pacific region.
  • Scott Andrew Elliott, currently serving as Chief Financial Officer for Asia-Pacific, is appointed as the interim Regional President of that region. Elliott has been part of Maersk since 2020.
  • Charles Van Der Steene steps into the role of Regional Managing Director for the India subcontinent, Middle East, and Africa Region. Van Der Steene joined Maersk in 2011 and has previously served as Regional President for North America.
  • Guillaume Sauzedde will take on the position of Regional Managing Director for the Europe Region. Sauzedde became part of Maersk in 2024 as Head of Logistics & Services in Europe.
  • Antonio Dominguez will continue as the Regional Managing Director of the Latin America Region.

Leadership Departures

As part of these changes, Richard Morgan, the current head of the India subcontinent, Middle East, and Africa Region, will depart from the company. Morgan joined Maersk in 2003 and has held various leadership roles, assuming regional leadership since 2019.

Aymeric Chandavoine, who has led the Europe Region since 2023, will also leave the company. He started with Maersk in 2020 as Global Head of Logistics & Services.
