Five Virginia Tickets Win $50,000 in Powerball, Reports Virginia Lottery

The Virginia Lottery announced significant wins in the latest Powerball drawing, held on a Wednesday. Over 87,000 tickets purchased in Virginia won various prizes. Among these, five lucky tickets each secured a prize of $50,000.

Details of the Winning Tickets

Unfortunately, no ticket across Virginia or anywhere else matched all six winning numbers. As a result, the Powerball jackpot for the upcoming drawing on Saturday, December 20, is projected to reach approximately $1.5 billion.

Winning Locations

The five winning tickets matched four out of the first five winning numbers along with the Powerball. These tickets were purchased at the following locations:

  • Food Lion, 4092 Lankford Highway, Exmore
  • Safeway, 3043 Nutley Street, Fairfax
  • Tiger Market and Bakery, 3903 Mt. Vernon Avenue, Alexandria

  • Smoketown Shell, 15550 Neabsco Mills Road, Woodbridge
