Johnson & Johnson Invests $1 Billion in New Lower Gwynedd Facility

On February 18, Johnson & Johnson announced an investment exceeding $1 billion in a new cell therapy manufacturing facility located in Lower Gwynedd, Pennsylvania. This facility will occupy 154 acres at 1201 Sumneytown Pike and aims to enhance the company’s manufacturing capacity for its innovative medicines targeting cancer, immune-mediated, and neurological diseases.

Significant Job Creation

The new facility is projected to create approximately 4,000 jobs during its construction phase. Once operational, it will provide 500 skilled biomanufacturing positions. Johnson & Johnson already has a presence in Spring House, employing 2,500 workers at its existing facility.
