3% was the early-session gain for Palantir Technologies, as optimism spread across the software-as-a-service space. Atlassian saw its shares surge after lifting its annual forecast, while Twilio jumped after reporting first-quarter revenue that beat estimates and raising its own forecast.
Twilio's CEO also pointed to artificial intelligence as a catalyst. That left Palantir trading with the group even though its own catalyst on this day was sentiment flowing through the sector rather than a fresh company announcement.
