Aldi reveals 8am-9am and 7pm-10pm Merseyside quiet times — Aldi, Lidl

Aldi has set out the quietest times to shop at its stores across Merseyside for the bank holiday weekend, with aldi, lidl shoppers told the calmest windows are 8am to 9am and 7pm to 10pm. The guidance comes as the chain prepares reduced hours on bank holiday Monday, May 4, and asks customers to check local opening times online because hours may vary by store.

Rachel Geary, communications director at Aldi UK, said: "Bank holiday weekends are a great opportunity to get together with family and friends and enjoy delicious food – whether that’s hosting a garden get-together or heading off on a trip with plenty of snacks in tow." She added: "At Aldi, we’ve made it easy for shoppers to pick up everything they need at unbeatable value, so they can focus on making the most of the long weekend."

May 1 to May 4 hours

Aldi stores will open from 8am to 10pm on Friday, May 1 and Saturday, May 2. On Sunday, May 3, stores will trade from 10am to 4pm. Bank holiday Monday, May 4, brings reduced hours of 8am to 8pm.

That schedule gives shoppers a narrower set of choices than on a standard day, and the timing guidance points to the least busy periods within it. For anyone planning a holiday shop, the early morning hour and the late-evening window are the only stretches Aldi singled out as typically calmer.

St Helens stores

In St Helens, Aldi stores are located on A58 Linkway West and Peasley Cross Lane. The advice applies across Merseyside, but Aldi said opening times may vary by location, so customers heading to those stores will need to check the hours listed for their branch before setting out.

For shoppers who want to avoid the busiest part of the weekend shop, Aldi’s own guidance leaves little room to guess: aim for 8am to 9am or 7pm to 10pm, and treat Monday’s shorter hours as the main constraint.
