Signature Mall Bradford Opens 36 Retailers in Listerhills
Signature Mall Bradford opens in Listerhills on Saturday, May 16, bringing 36 retailers into the former Xercise4less gym on Preston Street. The project is being described as the country's largest Asian mall when it opens, with a food gallery and room for upwards of 200 diners.
The mall's owner, Sukhjit Singh Dua, said the retail mix includes businesses from abroad, Birmingham, London and local traders. He added: "We've had brands come from abroad, some come from Birmingham, from London. Others are local. It is a mix of brands."

Dua said the development required substantial fit-out work. "You can see that people have spent good money on these shop units, and we've invested a lot in the building," he said. The redevelopment turned the old gym into a shopping centre after planning permission was granted in 2023.
The retail units will sell beauty products, jewellery, menswear, womenswear and footwear. The food gallery will have nine food outlets serving Mexican, Turkish, paratha, chaat, burgers, European street food, tea and desserts.

The opening adds 300 jobs to the site and gives Bradford a large retail and dining destination built around multicultural shopping and hospitality. For customers, the immediate change is simple: the building that once held Xercise4less now opens as a mall with a wider mix of shops and places to eat in one location.
The scale of the launch rests on the number of units, the range of traders and the size of the food hall. With 36 retailers and nine food outlets, the opening sets the mall up as a single destination rather than a small cluster of shops.
