The board also lowered diesel by 3.7 cents per litre across Newfoundland and by 2.2 cents per litre in Labrador West and Churchill Falls. Furnace oil fell by over 3.2 cents per litre for customers in Newfoundland, while stove oil dropped by just over 1.5 cents per litre in Labrador West and Churchill Falls.
The board said it is continuing daily fuel pricing adjustments from Tuesday to Saturday for gasoline, diesel, furnace oil and stove oil. Those daily changes began on April 1, and the board has already made 22 different pricing adjustments in May.
Avalon Peninsula prices
Tuesday's gasoline price on the Avalon Peninsula was 21.4 cents per litre cheaper than it was on May 2, when gas there sat at $2.056 per litre. For drivers filling up in that part of the province, the latest cut followed a month of repeated changes rather than a single one-off move.
The next fuel price update was scheduled for Wednesday.
