Honda is taking proactive measures to ensure driver safety by recalling 256,603 vehicles due to a software flaw. This issue can potentially cause power loss while driving, heightening the risk of accidents. The recall specifically targets Honda Accord Hybrid vehicles from the model years 2023 to 2025.
Details of the Recall
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) announced the recall in a notice dated November 17. The problem arises from the vehicles’ internal software, which may reset unexpectedly while the car is in operation.
Dealer Response
Honda dealership services will address this defect by reprogramming the faulty software at no cost to affected owners. Notification letters will be dispatched to owners starting January 5, 2026.
